Are you passionate about ensuring workplace safety and promoting a culture of well-being? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthstic Junior Safety Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and monitoring safety protocols and fostering a secure environment for all employees. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review existing policies and measures, ensure compliance with local legislation, and keep team members informed of updates.
• Facilitate and document weekly or bi-weekly safety and technical training sessions for all team members at sites and accommodations.
• Serve as the focal point for health and safety communications, attending meetings, reviewing policies and procedures, and participating in safety-related activities organized by the Safety Committee of DAME HQ.
• Coordinate safety induction sessions and issue IDs to team members for various sites.
• Manage the application of permits to work (PTW), follow up for approval, and ensure distribution to respective sites.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures for all site-related activities.
• Monitor employees adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Provide guidance and instruction on various safety-related topics such as noise levels and machinery usage.
• Report any employee health problems to the Departmental Manager for corrective action.
• Maintain stocks of safety-related items and develop suppliers in coordination with the reporting officer.
• Supervise workplace repairs, installations, and activities that may pose safety hazards to employees.
• Oversee installations, maintenance, and disposal of substances to ensure safety compliance.
• Provide safety information, support, and mentorship to employees and contractors, addressing workplace safety concerns, and contributing to safety improvements at all operational areas/sites.
• Conduct premises inspections to identify issues or non-conformities, such as failure to use protective equipment.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that pose risks to employee health and safety.
• Prepare reports on incidents and provide statistical information.
• Investigate accidents and violations, determine causes, and propose preventive measures to eliminate them, keeping the team informed of future preventive measures.
• Enforce preventive measures as needed.
• Identify safety process bottlenecks and propose timely solutions.
• Conduct induction sessions and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, conduct safety audits and investigations, organize and deliver OHS safety training, and monitor Daikin team members safety performance.
• Provide support for Aspire and MOSY documentation and meetings as required.
• Document and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle workers compensation claims.
• Ensure closure of audit-related comments by collaborating with various departments and providing support as needed.

Qualification and Experience Requirement:

• Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• NEBOSH Training Certificate and other Additional Safety Training Certifications
• Minimum 6+ years of experience or (minimum 3+ years working experience with Aspire or MOSY projects)
