Forklift Operator

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials, tools, and equipment within the warehouse, yard, or User location. The Forklift Operator will play a critical role in ensuring that materials are stored and transported safely. supporting operational needs, and maintaining warehouse organization and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Forklift Operation and Material Handling:

0 Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, reach trucks, or pallet jacks) to move, load, unload, and stack materials, tools, and equipment in various warehouse and yard locations..

Safely transport materials to and from storage locations, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.

Assist in the unloading and loading of delivery trucks, ensuring that materials are properly stacked and stored according to company procedures.

Ensure the correct identification and categorization of materials during the loading/unloading process, updating inventory records as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace, particularly when operating forklifts or handling hazardous materials.

Conduct routine inspections of the forklift equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team,

0 Ensure the proper handling and transportation of materials, following safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and material damage.

Adhere to company policies regarding the safe use of forklift equipment, materials handling, and storage practices.

Maintenance and Equipment Care:

Perform basic daily maintenance checks on forklift equipment, including fluid levels, tires, and operational functions, ensuring the equipment is in safe working condition.

0 Report any issues or required maintenance to the warehouse manager or equipment maintenance team in a timely manner.

0 Ensure that all forklift equipment is kept clean and properly maintained, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Report any safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or other issues to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of experience operating forklifts in the oil and gas industry or related sectors.

Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA, CCO, or equivalent).

Proven ability to safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, reach trucks, pallet jacks) and material handling equipment.

Experience with warehouse management and inventory control procedures.

Good understanding of safety protocols, including safe material handling, equipment operation, and warehouse safety standards.

Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and handle materials of varying sizes and weights.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in material handling, logistics, or warehouse management.

Knowledge of oil and gas industry-specific materials, tools, and equipment.

Experience in handling hazardous materials and understanding related safety protocols.

First aid or safety training certifications.
