Project: Management and Construction Supervision of a 65-Floor High-Rise Building

Project Duration: 60 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Structure Engineer to lead the structural engineering aspects of a prestigious 65-floor high-rise building project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Principal Structure will be responsible for overseeing all structural design, analysis, and construction supervision activities, ensuring the project adheres to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a landmark project in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the structural engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, from design to completion.
• Review and approve structural designs, calculations, and drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Oversee the construction supervision of structural elements, ensuring adherence to approved designs and quality control procedures.
• Identify and resolve complex structural engineering issues that may arise during design or construction.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays, implementing proactive measures to mitigate them.
• Ensure all structural engineering activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all structural engineering activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Preferred: Postgraduate studies and advanced professional certifications in a related area of expertise.
• Mandatory: Proven experience in high-rise building projects (minimum of two similar high-rise projects).
• In-depth knowledge of structural design principles, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and design tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience working on international projects is highly desirable.

General Requirements:

Staff Nationalities: Non-Arabs & Non-Africans is a must. preferably eastern European

Previous experience working with consultant

Professional in English is a must
