Public Relations Officer

Key Responsibilities:1. Government Liaison & Compliance:

  • Act as the primary contact between the company and Qatari government entities such as the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Interior, Qatar Chamber, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Process and renew company trade licenses, registrations, and approvals required by various government departments.
  • Ensure compliance with Qatars labor laws, visa regulations, and company-related governmental policies.
  • Keep the company updated with new government regulations and legal requirements.

2. Employee & Immigration Affairs:

  • Handle work visas, residence permits, labor contracts, and renewals for employees in compliance with Qatars immigration laws.
  • Process employee-related requests, including family sponsorships, visa transfers, and exit permits.
  • Coordinate with government authorities for any changes or amendments in employee documentation.

3. Payroll & Employee Administration Relations:

  • Ensure compliance with Qatars Wage Protection System (WPS) and other labor-related financial regulations.
  • Process employee salaries, end-of-service benefits, and gratuities in coordination with the finance and HR departments.
  • Handle official documentation related to payroll processing, such as salary certificates, bank letters, and labor approvals.
  • Resolve payroll-related disputes by liaising with the Ministry of Labour and other relevant authorities.
  • Support HR in handling employee grievances, disputes, and legal matters concerning employment contracts.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with Qatari labor laws regarding working hours, leaves, and benefits.

4. Documentation & Legal Processing:

  • Prepare and submit official letters, legal documents, and applications in Arabic and English.
  • Handle company-related legal procedures such as contract attestations, document translations, and notary approvals.
  • Assist in company compliance with Qatars taxation and customs regulations.

5. Corporate Representation:

  • Represent the company in meetings with government officials, ministries, and legal bodies.
  • Ensure the organization follows all local laws, ethical standards, and best practices.
  • Manage crisis communication and official inquiries from regulatory authorities.

6. Administrative Support:

  • Maintain records of all official government transactions and approvals.
  • Develop strong relationships with government officials to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Provide advisory support to management regarding government policies and procedural updates.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Public Relations within Qatar.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Law, or a related field.
  • Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of Qatari labor laws, visa processes, and government procedures.
  • Familiarity with Hukoomi (Qatar e-Government Portal), Ministry of Labour, and Immigration systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Qatars Wage Protection System (WPS) and payroll-related legal requirements.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and government online portals.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Qatari driving license.
  • Existing relationships with key government authorities.
  • Experience handling corporate legal matters, compliance, and payroll administration in Qatar.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month
