Job Overview:
The Sales and Catering Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, selling event and catering services, and overseeing the planning and execution of events. This position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work with clients to create customized experiences that meet their needs and exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Develop and implement strategies to generate new business and retain existing clients.
- Manage the entire sales process for events, from initial inquiry to final booking.
- Achieve sales targets and objectives set by the management team.
- Conduct site tours, attend networking events, and engage in community outreach to generate leads.
- Negotiate and close contracts for catering and event services.
- Identify and target potential corporate clients, social events, weddings, and conferences.
- Client Relations & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients seeking event and catering services.
- Understand client needs and tailor services to meet their expectations.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, and provide information regarding event packages, menus, and services.
- Manage client communications before, during, and after events to ensure satisfaction.
- Event Planning & Coordination:
- Collaborate with clients to plan event logistics, including catering menus, room setups, decor, and special requests.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, front-of-house, and other departments to ensure smooth event operations.
- Ensure that all catering orders are fulfilled, and events are executed flawlessly.
- Oversee event timelines, ensuring that all details are on schedule.
- Handle last-minute changes and special requests with a high level of professionalism.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with other team members (e.g., sales staff, catering, operations) to ensure seamless event execution.
- Lead event meetings and briefings to communicate client needs and expectations to the team.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on event standards, procedures, and customer service expectations.
- Reporting & Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of sales leads, bookings, and client interactions in the CRM system.
- Prepare reports on sales activities, event outcomes, and financial performance.
- Develop proposals, contracts, and agreements for clients.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Marketing & Promotion:
- Assist in developing promotional materials and campaigns to advertise the venues event and catering services.
- Participate in creating package deals and special offers to attract new customers.
- Stay current with industry trends to offer innovative event ideas and catering options.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in sales, event planning, catering, or a related field, ideally in a hotel, restaurant, or event venue.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple events and clients simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software (e.g., Delphi, EventPro).
- Knowledge of catering, food and beverage, and event coordination.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR12,000.00 per month
