Structural Fabricator

We are hiring a Structural Fabricator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate must be capable of reading and understanding fabrication drawings and working independently with minimal supervision. This position is only for candidates currently available in Qatar with a valid QID.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting structural and piping fabrication drawings.
• Measuring and marking materials according to drawings and specifications.
• Cutting materials using tools such as band saw, gas cutting equipment, and hand tools.
• Beveling, grinding, and cleaning structural and piping components before fabrication.
• Performing fit-up and tack welding for both structural and piping systems.
• Plate rolling, bending, and shearing operations for structural steel preparation.
• Structural assembly of components as per drawings and specifications.
• Gas gouging and gas cutting for structural and piping jobs.
• Using proper tools and equipment for precision cutting and shaping of components.
• Ensuring proper fit-up and alignment before final welding.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural fabrication in oil and gas projects.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Experience in piping and structural fabrication processes.
• Skilled in using fabrication tools and equipment such as band saws, grinders, gas cutters, beveling tools, etc.
• Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid QID.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with plate rolling, shearing, and bending machines.
• Good knowledge of fit-up techniques and tack welding.
• Experience in gas gauging and gas cutting operations.
• Familiarity with quality checks and fabrication tolerances.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From QAR3,000.00 per month
