Job Title:
Hot & Cold Kitchen Chef - Casual Dining
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated chef to join our casual dining team, responsible for preparing both hot and cold menu items. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced kitchen, is passionate about quality food, and is dedicated to ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare, cook, and present hot dishes such as grilled items, pasta, items to menu specifications.
- Assemble and plate cold dishes including salads, appetizers, sandwiches, and desserts.
- Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality and hygiene standards.
Kitchen Operations
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies for both hot and cold food production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas.
- Monitor inventory and inform supervisors of any shortages.
- Properly label and store food items according to health and safety regulations.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with local regulations.
- Conduct regular cleaning schedules, ensuring workstations and equipment are sanitized.
- Ensure proper food handling practices including temperature control, storage, and rotation (FIFO).
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to coordinate tasks and manage busy service times.
- Assist in training junior staff or kitchen assistants as needed.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar hot and cold kitchen role.
- Culinary diploma or certificate preferred but not mandatory.
Skills
- Proficient in preparing a variety of hot and cold dishes.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and portion control.
Working Conditions:
- Casual dining restaurant environment.
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Standing for long periods and working in a hot kitchen environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR3,500.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month
