MEP Manager

Al Attiyah Architectural Construction | Doha | QA

Manage all MEP engineering activities on assigned projects.

Will oversee and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing aspects of projects from planning to completion. The role ensures that MEP systems are designed, installed, tested, and maintained in accordance with project requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards. The MEP Manager coordinates with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure quality, budget compliance, and timely delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
  • PMP or related certifications are a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in MEP project management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and building codes.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Knowledge of sustainable/green building practices (LEED, Estidama, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Applicant Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve MEP designs and shop drawings.
  • Coordinate with architectural and structural teams to integrate MEP systems seamlessly.
  • Supervise MEP contractors to ensure adherence to design specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Monitor MEP project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality assurance audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Resolve MEP-related technical issues and liaise with consultants for complex problems.
  • Provide technical input and support during the tendering and procurement process.
  • Ensure commissioning and handover of MEP systems with proper documentation.
