Senior Catering Executive
The Catering Executive is responsible for overseeing both external and internal contractors for all catering initiated by the organization. The incumbent communicates with clients about food requirements, coordinates menu preparation, and handles customer service issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, control, integrate, and evaluate the work of catering staff.
- Implement and administer policies and procedures set by the organization and involved parties.
- Determine service and catering requirements for events.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating catering services ensuring they meet organizational standards.
- Study trends, evaluate efficiency of catering services provided to the community.
- Supervise daily approval of food supply and hygiene materials.
- Initiate menu choices and develop variety.
- Implement policies related to hygiene and kitchen operations.
- Coordinate food service provision to staff, visitors, and events including special functions.
- Assist in vendor selection, evaluation, and operations administration.
- Ensure food safety practices are adhered to and report incidents.
- Supervise chefs, cleaners, and catering assistants in food preparation, serving, and cleaning.
- Organize and set up special functions following procedures.
- Arrange catering including menu and venue set-up.
- Coordinate plans for each function with relevant personnel.
- Provide functional leadership in technical aspects of catering management.
- Perform other duties supporting overall objectives of the position.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in hotel management or equivalent from a reputed university.
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience, preferably in banquet/events in a reputed catering company or 5-star hotel.
- Fluent English and Arabic communication skills
Training and Certifications:
- Fire Warden Training
- Certified First Aider Training
- Minimum HACCP Level 3 Certification
- ISO 22000 Awareness Training
- Food Safety Level 4
